Reconnecting Citizens with the Wildlife in Quito
Project Goal: For the citizens reinvent Quito as a green city that is sustainable and environmentally friendly that can support its wildlife and native plants.
This project seeks to re-establish the relationship between citizens and their natural environment, lost due to urban growth in Quito. It highlights the identity value of flora and fauna native species to enhance environmental sensitivity of the population and promotes better practices towards nature to recover public places and natural areas as biodiversity education and appreciation sceneries. Partners for this project include the Guangüiltagua Metropolitan Park.
